Growing a YouTube channel can be difficult and time-consuming, so how can you fast-track your way to accelerated growth? How can you ensure that this year is the year you succeed on YouTube?

Well, in this article, I'm going to be giving you pro tips to help grow on YouTube in 2022.

 

How to Be Successful on YouTube

Whether you're just starting out or whether you've had a YouTube channel for a while, what are some surefire ways to give your track the best chance of success. The tips I'm about to share are practical,  I know they work and they will work for you too.

 

 so let's start with

  1. 1.   Plan and Strategy

Tip number 1, the most important of them all, is plan and strategy; yes, I know this isn't the most fun part of YouTube. You want to get out there with your camera and start shooting, but everything you shoot will be a complete waste of time; if you don't have any plan or strategy, the time you have to spend on your YouTube channel will be limited so use it wisely

By planning, I don't just mean making sure that your batteries are charged for your shoot next week; I mean an actual plan and a strategy for growing your YouTube channel. This is the perfect time to start putting a plan in place. Think about your next 12 months on YouTube at the start of each year. How often can you realistically post a video? What will these videos be about? How long will each video be? Who are these videos for? These are just a few fundamental questions that you'll need to ask yourself

Before creating content for your channel, once you've got that, then plan your strategy. Also, setting yourself goals help keep you moving. They give your clear channel direction and provide you with focus, but what should be included in your plan and strategy

 

  1. 2.   Know Your Audience

 

Well, Tip number 2 is to know your audience. Knowing who you're making videos for? will make this process much easier. If you plan to reach everyone, you're already off to a terrible start and will probably fail. That's why having a channel focused on a specific niche is so important what niche are you in and who is your video for if your audience knows what type of videos you make, they like the content. You're consistent, and they will come back to take this channel.

For example, I'm in the film-making video production content creation niche, so making content around this topic is crucial for growth. People will get confused and never return if I start posting videos about hair and makeup. Once you know what type of person you're making videos for, you can tailor your content to best suit that person. What information might this person be looking for? How can you give this person some value? What would be a good video title for this person? What would be an eye-catching and enticing thumbnail for this type of person? Knowing your target audience is critical on YouTube the more focused your audience is, the quicker you will grow

 

  1. 3.   Provide Value

Tip Number 3 provides value, but how do you do this well? Let's keep things simple. Are your videos going to entertain or educate? Generally speaking, people go to YouTube for one of these two things. Are you going to educate with how-to videos and tutorials? Are you going to entertain with daily vlogs or short films? The niche you are in doesn't matter the camera you're shooting on. It doesn't matter, but you are providing your audience with value.

 

 Think about how you would like to be left feeling after watching a video. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be left feeling like I've wasted my time. I want to feel as though I've learned something or seen something incredible, heartfelt, or exciting I want to be left feeling happy and content. If you plan to educate, ensure each video teaches something, make it easy to understand and provide as much value as possible. If you plan to entertain, make sure your video engages people. From the start, work on your storytelling skills and your video editing skills to make your videos stand out and provide as much value as possible 

 

  1. 4.   First 10 Seconds of your Videos

Tip Number 4, the first 10 seconds of your video are really important because this is roughly how long you've got to hook your audience and keep them engaged. Do not mess this bit up. Think about your video, and then come up with the best way to tease that video with a mini trailer. If you like it before your audience watches your video, they'll need to find it. If your thumbnail and title are eye-catching and intriguing enough, they will click on them. Use the first 10 seconds of your video to affirm to that viewer that they've made the right choice by clicking on your video. Back up that catchy title and thumbnail with the first 10 seconds of your video. Let's say

for example, if your video is all about how to make a delicious chocolate cake, you've got a cracking thumbnail of a delicious-looking chocolate cake tick, you've got a great title that sums up that video tick well, a great way to start that video would be to show that delicious looking chocolate cake and say something along the lines of in this video I'm going to show you how to make this delicious looking chocolate cake with just a few simple ingredients I'm going to give you tips for decorating your cake as well as some simple tips for making this whole process as quick and as easy as possible this would be a great way to hook your audience at the start of the video this is making the first 10 seconds count

 

  1. 5.   Don't waste People's time

Tip Number 5, don't waste people's time or yours. Don't waste people's time with relevant crap that's got nothing to do with the video or the reason that person is watching. Be clear, be concise and leave your audience with a positive experience. If you have a 20-second logo at the start of each video, get rid of it; if you take five minutes to get to the point, stop providing value throughout the video.
